The Revelation Perth International Film Festival strives to contribute to critical, creative and collaboative communities.
Revelation seeks to deliver to the film industry and the cultural environment a window to the best of the international creative world and connect artists and community with the best in contemporary cinema and moving image art.
Revelation is a unique mix of stylish and contemporary features, short, animated, documentary and experimental works drawn directly from the international film festivals and independent screen scenes. Revelation also takes great pride in showcasing West Australian talent through an annual program of short films at Westralia Day, the annual City of Vincent Film Project to support the creation of documentaries in the City of Vincent, and on our streaming service, REVStream, which has the largest selection for films made in Western Australia, able to be streamed from anywhere at any time.
Annually, we celebrate WA’s media industry with our annual WA Screen Culture Awards. This is a sensational evening that we proudly present as an end-of-year celebration of the screen industry, acknowledging the past year’s outstanding innovation, independent spirit and contributions in various categories of the industry.
We have a year-round program of free community events, from workshops to competitions to moving image art projections and installations, free family films every school holiday and of course, our July tent-pole festival event.
We acknowledge the immense contribution of our long-term partners and welcome a bunch of new friends to our Rev community.
As a registered chairty, all donations are tax deductable.
From its inception and for more than 25-years, Revelation has adopted an ethical partnership agenda.
We take our social responsibilities seriously and we believe this is seen in every creative, organisational and business aspect of the event. If you do too, we’d love to have you on board!
The Revelation Perth International Film Festival presents advertisers with many opportunities to reach a large, captive audience of professional, socially aware, urban tastemakers. Advertising opportunities are now available through print, cinema and social media platforms, during the festival and throughout the year.
In 2020, we commissioned six short works in collaboration with a range of partners which in turn created more than 50 screen industry and arts sector jobs in a COVID devastated industry – as well as delivering three major festival and celebratory events.
Annually we have at least three film commissions in production at any one time, we mount the WA Screen Culture Awards, and administer a streaming service called REVStream where we also added more than 100 made-in-WA films to be streamed from anywhere.
In 2022 we launched the Revelation Future Fund to raise $100,000 for the REV Community Fund, our youth Initiative; and REV Production Fund, to support the screen industry.
